Cherry Meadow's Horse Shows
Here at Cherry Meadow Stables, we strive to create a very player friendly atmosphere in our shows. As of now, WE DO NOT allow poses in show entries! This is to make it more fair for everyone especially those who do not or cannot download poses. I realize that this may be bothersome for some players, but there are plenty of websites that host shows where you can use poses. If it is found you have used poses in an entry, you will be IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED. (Note: We DO allow poses in our Costume Contests only). We DO allow small editing. Our shows focus on the player's ability as a designer (for lots, such as a cross country course) and their ability as a photographer. For me, it is one of the most fun things in sims: to be able to catch a perfect moment in game play without the use of mods and poses to do so.
CLOSED: means that a show allows only registered War Horses.
OPEN: means that a show allows ALL breeds of horses, registered or not.
As of now, we host four different types of shows: Cross Country, Endurance/Trail, Free Form "Halter", and Costume.
Currently, there are no shows available. Check back soon!

Cross Country
Show description: Put your design and photography skills to the test! In our Cross Country shows, you must take pictures of your horse and rider battling the arduous cross country course! You need to build either a few cross country jumps or an entire course to compete in this competition.
It is STRONGLY recommended you download the "build your own" jump found on our downloads page.
Photos needed: You need four photos, and there is an optional bonus photo. There should be 3 photos of horse and rider jumping, one of them galloping a stretch. The galloping photo can be taken anyway you want: downhill, uphill, flat, beginning, middle, end. You can take a fifth bonus photo, but it MUST pertain to the cross country course (ex. waiting to start, walking course, tacking up, at horse trailer, etc.)
Rider apparel: Helmet, English show coat or protective vest, breeches, tall boots.
Horse tack: Jump or all around English saddle, English bridle, optional leg wraps or boots.

Endurance/Trail
Show description: This competition is all about your abilities to take pictures in the most scenic places you can find. An Endurance trial is a long distance race that is all about pacing yourself and your horse. There are no jumps involved, except for naturally occurring ones such as a log lying across the trail. The big idea for this competition is SCENERY and CREATIVITY!
Photos needed: 4-5 photos. At least one photo needs to be of the horse walking a precarious stretch, at least one trotting, and at least one galloping. The other photos can be of anything you want as long as they pertain to the endurance trial. Other ideas: drinking from a stream, resting, even camping is allowed.
Rider apparel: Anything.
Horse tack: Anything, even bareback if you want although it would not be very realistic.

Free Form "Halter"
Show Description: This is a free form halter class. Meaning, it is about the horse's conformation, but there is no handler or tack/halter. We want to see your horse in his natural form in order to see his natural conformation clearly.
Photos needed: 4-5 photos. Side shots are required of the horse standing, walking, trotting, and cantering/gallop. Be as creative or as simple with your scenery as you want!
